Research-Supported Practices Research has shown that practicing mindfulness helps reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and improve sleep, eating behaviors and interpersonal relationships. These positive effects are augmented by practicing mindfulness in the natural world. More important, the natural world is our best teacher, if we care to listen.
Modern life is fast-paced, goal-oriented, competitive and stressful. It can feel overwhelming most of the time as we just "try to make it" and get through our day. We are distracted by our media devices, politics and now the pandemic and experience a sense of disconnection from ourselves, others and mother earth.
There is no better time than now to rediscover your true nature of unshakeable peace through mindfulness practices and regain a sense of belonging to your innate well-being and the natural world. We can then stay grounded with a sense of equanimity out into our lives with family, friends and community and make it a better world.
